Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took an important step towards the promotion of digitization in the form of paperless system which will improve the government decision making process. For the first time DDWP meeting was held through PCFMS system in the Irrigation Department. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Irrigation Tahir Orakzai and attended by Secretary Planning and Development Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Humayun Khan. Irrigation Department is the first department to hold DDWP meeting through PCFMS system. The system will make it easier for government departments to make decisions. The presence of development projects on the PC-1 system will ensure transparency of projects and give access to information to various departments at the click of a button. The DDWP meeting of the Irrigation Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approved 55 projects worth Rs 1.674 billion for the newly integrated districts. Among the approved projects are check dams, water storage projects, rehabilitation and construction of irrigation channels, construction of new solar tube wells, and solarization of existing tube wells. Completion of these projects will improve the irrigation system in merged tribal districts and will increase crop cultivation.
