Standardization of Developmental Projects Models and Designs

The Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held a consultative meeting to make the planning process more efficient and to make better use of government resources, to standardize the development projects models / designs and to improve the quality. The consultative meeting was chaired by Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Humayun Khan, and was also attended by Prof. Dr. Qaiser Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, P&D department and senior officials of other government departments, including university officials.
Long consultations were held to standardize the designs of educational institutions, hospitals, bridges, police stations, judicial complexes, economic zones, industrial estates, warehouses, housing schemes, water supply and irrigation projects.
The move will make better use of government resources
The meeting decided to form a working group comprising officers from various departments and UETs which would review the needs of government departments and make suggestions to the government on standardization.
