The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has started consultations with the
private sector for the construction of low cost houses under the New
Pakistan Housing Scheme. In this regard, a meeting was held under the
chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the
Planning and Development Department wherein investors from the
construction sector participated.
The investors were given a detailed briefing on the New Pakistan Housing Scheme. The meeting was informed that the government was mobilizing the private sector for housing and low cost housing schemes for the homeless. The private sector will also be given tax breaks for these housing schemes. The government\'s priority is low cost housing which will benefit as many people as possible and also boost the construction sector by promoting the construction and benefiting the economy. In addition, the government has made the approval process for the construction sector online, which has removed unnecessary obstacles in the process.
