• Preparation of briefs for PSDP, NEC & ECNEC and examination of summaries for the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
• Preparation of working papers for PDWP, DDWP & Annual Review meetings of Education Sector

Policy and Mandate

• To ensure and align Education Sector Plan initiatives as per Agenda 2030 (SDG-4).
• Putting in place an institutional mechanism for ensuring Standardization of Education across the Province by achieving of quality learning outcomes
• Access to Education under article 25-A by provision of schooling facilities to all children of age 5-16 years.
• Addressing gender disparity by promoting gender equality, affirmative action empowerment of girl students
• Enhancing the quality of education infrastructure and provision of conducive learning environment.
• Encouraging private sector-led school education through PPP mode, incentivizing and in place a standardization enforcement regime

Sector:          Higher Education

Vision:  A progressive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with equal access to higher education opportunities for all especially the youth.

Policy and Mandate

• Addressing gender disparity by promoting gender equality, affirmative action and the empowerment of women in higher education opportunities
• Enabling tertiary educational institutions to be autonomous and accountable in terms of finance, administration and academics
• Reforming college level education through the development of career placement and other linkages with the job market
• Promoting research and academic excellence in higher educational institutions through twining with globally accredited institutions and organizations
• Equitable enforcement of accreditation standards and quality-based regulation in both private and public sector institutions of higher education through stakeholder dialogue

Sector:          Auqaf, Hajj, Religious & Minority Affairs

Vision: Ensuring adequate protection, conservation and sustainable use of Auqaf properties, Masajids & Shrines and promotion of religious harmony

Policy and Mandate

• Safe guarding and promoting the right of minorities
• Better management and maintenance of Auqaf properties as per the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Auqaf properties ordinance 1979
• Improvement facilities at mosques and shrines and ensuring security around Masajids in order to provide peaceful environment for the devotees
• Explore identify and document historic shrines in neglect and far-off areas.
