The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to the advancement of womenâs rights, womenâs empowerment and gender mainstreaming across the province. The Provincial Government has adopted various measures for achieving equalization of opportunities for women and men. In this respect, the Social Protection and Gender Mainstreaming (SP & GM) Section of the Planning and Development Department Pakhtunkhwa has been mandated to provide a centralized coordination platform at provincial level for information, planning and strategic allocation of resources to gender mainstreaming, womenâs empowerment and social protection of the vulnerable segments of society including women and girls.
