A meeting regarding the new budget was held under the chairmanship of the Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan, in which the strategy and other issues related to the preparation of the budget for the first quarter of the financial year 2023-24 were discussed in detail.
Caretaker Provincial Minister for Planning Syed Hamid Shah and Adviser to the Chief Minister on Finance Hayatullah, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Zubair Asghar Qureshi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Amjad Ali Khan and Chief Economist P&D Muhammad Ali Asghar attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed on the budget estimates for the first quarter of the new financial year, the preliminary outlines of the budget, the annual development program, and various other aspects of the budget.
