Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a meeting on priority development projects. Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development and Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments participated in the meeting.
• The meeting identified important public service delivery projects to be completed during the current financial year. These priority projects include projects in health, education, drinking water, communication, irrigation, relief and other sectors.
• The provincial cabinet has allocated an additional Rs 20 billion for the early completion of these priority and nearing completion projects. The purpose of allocating additional funds for these development projects is to complete them quickly and make them operational. These are urgent projects for the provision of public services. Their timely completion is a top priority so that service delivery to the people can start without delay. Ali Amin Gandapur
• The additional funding that has been provided to projects nearing completion in the last 3 months of last year has yielded significant results. From the beginning of this year, funds will be released under this formula so that projects nearing completion can be completed this year itself. • Wise use of funds allocated for development projects and determination of priorities in the use of development funds are very important. Those projects on which 80 percent of the work has been completed should be fully funded and completed soon.
