A wrap-up meeting with the ADB Special Project Administration mission for the 300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project (HPP) was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ikramullah Khan. The meeting was attended by the Secretary Energy and Power, Chief Power and IDS, P&D section, Project Director, and other relevant officials.
The ACS appreciated the progress made so far and directed the PMU to closely monitor the project’s progress to ensure its timely completion. He emphasized that this flagship project is already on the KP Good Governance Road Map, aiming to provide clean and green energy for social and economic uplift in the region. The ACS assured P&D support for regular project review meetings to keep the project on track and ensure its timely completion, given its significant importance.
