Mr. Shahid Ullah Khan assumed the charge of Secretary of Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Chief Economist Mr. Arif ullah Awan briefed Secretary about overall development portfolio of P&D while Mrs. Sarah Rehman Chief of International Development Section presented the foreign portfolio.
A meeting with the World Bank Mission, headed by Mr. Tobias Haque, Lead Country Economist and accompanied by Co-TTL Miss Irum Touqeer was held under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah. Various cooperation areas were thoroughly discussed. Chief Economist Mr. Arifullah Awan also attended the meeting.
Country Director of IFAD Pakistan, Ms. Fernanda Thomaz Da Rocha, met with the Additional Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, to review the Rural Economic Transformation Project (RETP). The 38th meeting of the Board of Directors of Trans Peshawar was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, in which board members and related departments participated. In the meeting, decisions were taken regarding further improvement of facilities for the citizens.
A meeting regarding Comprehsive Food Security & Livelihood Assessment (CFSLA) held under the chairmanship of Secretary Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Shahidullah Khan. Chief Economist P&D, Mr. Arifullah Awan, representatives from World Food Programme, BOS and government departments attended the meeting. Secretary was briefed regarding interventions in different districts and tool for questionnaire.
World Bank’s portfolio review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Secretary Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Shahidullah Khan. Chief Economist Mr. Arifullah Awan, Chief IDS Sara Rehman and representatives of Sections and Fields attended the meeting.
In the meeting, the progress of the ongoing projects was reviewed while the action plan for the new projects was agreed upon. The Secretary directed the Project Directors to expedite the implementation of the ongoing projects to achieve the project goals.
