World Bank Delegation Visited PND Department

A high level delegation led by Mr. Martin Raiser, the South Asian Regional Vice President of the World Bank, visited Planning and Development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the visit the delegation met Mr. Imtiaz Hussain Shah, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to discuss the progress of World Bank-funded projects.
World Bank delegation was on a significant visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where they also visited Gor Gatri, Sethi House, Peshawar Museum, Michini Check Post Khyber and Citizen Facilitation Center Bara.

Meeting On KP Rural Investment And Institutional Support Project

The mission meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Imtiaz Hussain Shah.
In the meeting, various activities under the project were reviewed. The Additional Chief Secretary urged to speed up the activities of all departments under the project and increase the effectiveness of the project in the merged districts so that more people can benefit from it. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project aims to prioritize work in agriculture, local government and other sectors in the integrated areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Additional Chief Secretary further said that the project has a very important role in the development of the merged districts.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Municipalities Mr. Muhammad Dawood Khan, Secretary Public Health Engineering Mr. Shahid Sohail, World Bank delegation, Additional Secretary (Admin) and Project Director Mr. Shahid Ali and representatives of related departments.

The participants of the Inland Study Tour of the 35th Senior Management Course, NIM Islamabad, visited the Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today. Special PDWP Meeting Held on 23 May 2024

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ali Amin Gandapur, a plan worth more than 9 billion rupees was approved to increase the effectiveness of the health facility program in the merged districts.
In the special meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party, the plan of 9 billion Zayed was approved.
The approval was given in a special meeting of PDWP under the chairmanship of Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Secretary Planning and Development Shahidullah Khan, Secretary C&W Dr. Asad Ali Khan, Chief Economist Arifullah Awan and other forum members and officials also participated in the meeting.

22nd PDWP Meeting Held On 31st May 2024

On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, separate projects were approved in Bajaur and Khyber districts to secure the roads and bridges system in the merged districts for ease of travel. The projects will not only enable uninterrupted traffic flow but will also make the roads safer for common commuters.
In the twenty-second session of the Provincial Development Working Party, new projects worth more than 20 crore rupees were approved.
The approval was given in the meeting of PDWP under the chairmanship of Secretary Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Shahidullah Khan.
Secretary Health Mr. Mahmood Aslam, Chief Economist Arifullah Awan and other forum members and officials also participated in the meeting.
Approved projects include safety works for newly constructed bridge on Jamrud Bypass Road from Mathani Takhta Baig Road to Sar Kamar in Khyber District, rehabilitation of newly constructed WBM road from Murghan to Nika Ziarat via Murghan Khandau in Kurram District. Surfacing and ancillary works, additional safety works for Asil Targho Road in Bajaur District such as projects and widening the scope of other 6 projects.
