ADB Delegation Met CM KP

A delegation of Asian Development Bank met with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur.
Besides Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, administrative secretaries of the relevant departments and other officials were also present in the meeting.
Discussing the issues related to the ongoing important development projects in various sectors in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank in the province.
These sectors include road infrastructure, water, agriculture, energy, urban development and health.
A detailed discussion on the progress of these development projects as per the timelines and the matters related to their timely completion.
In the meeting, the development projects to be started with the support of the Asian Development Bank during the next three years were also discussed.
Agreeing to start implementation of these projects early if pre-requisites are completed soon.
The delegation expressed its willingness to release funds ahead of the timelines for the implementation of these projects.
These projects include various projects under KP Sustainable Urban Mobility, KP Rural Roads Development, KP Cities Improvement Project, KP Food Security and Livestock Management Program.
The instructions of the Chief Minister to the concerned authorities to complete the prerequisite requirements as soon as possible in this regard.
The meeting also reviewed the proposed projects for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the five-year Country Partnership Strategy 2026-30.
Agreement between the parties to expand cooperation in social sectors.

Farewell Meeting In Honor of Leaving IDS Chief

Mrs. Sara Rehman, Grade 18 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service serving in Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been appointed as a Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan. A Meeting Regarding Flood Preparedness

A meeting regarding the flood preparedness of the Irrigation Department was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary. The meeting was also attended by the Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning and Development Department, along with relevant secretaries and officials.
During the meeting, the Irrigation Department presented a comprehensive overview of the flood contingency plan. The briefing mentioned the establishment of a flood emergency cell in Peshawar and discussed the status of the rehabilitation of gauges, pre-flood inspection of structures, and other necessary flood-related infrastructure.
Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary emphasized the importance of maintaining flood readiness to mitigate the impact of potential floods. He directed all departments to ensure that all measures are in place and to remain vigilant throughout the monsoon season.
Additionally, the operationalization of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Water Resources Regulatory Authority was discussed, highlighting the need for efficient water resource management in the province.

2nd PDWP Held on 29th July 2024

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, in the second meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party, projects worth 65 crores were approved.
The approval was given in a PDWP meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah.
The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned departments.
The forum approved 9 projects related to roads, relief and rehabilitation, water, food, sports, tourism and MSD for the development of the province.
Among the approved new projects are Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium and Hayatabad Sports Complex in District Peshawar, provision of additional infrastructure and floodlights and other projects were included in the schemes.

Meeting Regarding Food Items Sampling

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, an important meeting regarding the sampling of food items was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary P&D, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah. Secretary Food, DG Halal Food Authority and other officials participated in the meeting. In the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary was presented with a special report on recent milk sampling across the province and was briefed on the alarming findings of the report. The Additional Chief Secretary said on the occasion that there will be no compromise on the health of the general public.
The Additional Chief Secretary said that the food department should continue the operations for the prevention of harmful food items and strict action should be taken against those elements who are involved in the sale of harmful food items. The Additional Chief Secretary further said that the food department should share the data and reports regarding the sampling of food items with other departments and work together to remedy the same.

Review Meeting on ADP 2023-24

The review meeting of the annual development plan for the year 2024-2023 is ongoing in the Department of Planning and Development. Under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, the progress on the projects of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Municipalities and other departments was reviewed. CS KP Visited Flood Affected District Lower Chitral

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry visited the flood-affected district of Lower Chitral.
Deputy Speaker Provincial Assembly Soraya Bibi, IG Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner and other officials accompanied him. He inspected the affected areas of Lower Chitral district. On this occasion checks of relief funds were distributed. A relief check of Rs 10 lakh was given to the next of kin of a person who died in the floods in Lower Chitral, while checks of Rs 90 lakh were distributed to the owners of 45 completely destroyed houses. The Chief Secretary was briefed in the Lower Chitral DC conference room about the flood devastation and the relief activities carried out so far. While presiding over the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that the district administration of Lower Chitral and the relief department should restore all the connecting roads and open them for traffic within two days. He also directed to speed up the work on the rehabilitation works and use all our energy and capabilities to restore it as soon as possible.

CM KPK Ali Amin Gandapur Inagurated Solar Scheme For The Poor Families of KPK

Another important initiative was taken by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, who inaugurated the model design and online application system for the solar scheme. An announcement is made to increase the number of beneficiaries from I lakh to I lakh and 30 thousand. CM KP also implemented a separate solar scheme for 30 thousand poor families in the Marged districts. It is further added that electricity feeders with power losses, backward and hottest areas will be prioritized in the solarization scheme. This solar scheme is a complete package that will include solar panels along with wiring, stand for panels, inverters, fans, and bulbs.

4th PDWP Held on 22nd Augutst 2024

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, in the fourth session of the Provincial Development Working Party, the projects worth 3 billion were approved. The approval was given in the PDWP meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah. On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, a special scheme for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the name of Ehsaas Young Program was approved. 

In order to help the youth in the province stand on their own feet and start their own jobs, KP government is launching a major provincial flagship project called Youth Employment Scheme, under which youth across the province are given interest-free loans to set up their own businesses in every sector. PDWP members and concerned departments participated in the meeting. The forum approved 14 projects related to irrigation, energy and power, MSD, sports etc. for the development of the province. The approved new projects include the Ehsaas Youth Program and other revised projects.
