Newly recruited officers of the Provincial Management Services visited the Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Economist, Mr. Arifullah Awan, where participants were thoroughly briefed on provincial government development matters, including the Annual Development Program (ADP) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), as well as various roles within P&D, such as PCFMS and the GIS Hub.
The second tripartite portfolio review mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) had a meeting with the Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah. The meeting was attended by relevant secretaries, ADB representatives, and field staff. The overall progress of projects was reviewed, with the Additional Chief Secretary emphasizing the importance of timely completion, quality work, and achieving targets. He assured that his office and P&D would extend full support and facilitation to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, in the fifth meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party, the projects worth 3.5 billion were approved.
The approval was given in the PDWP meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah.
On the special instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the plan to provide free books and school bags for children in the merged districts was approved.
PDWP members and concerned departments participated in the meeting. The forum approved projects in various sectors for the development of the province.
Among the approved projects, flood protection projects along the Indus River in DI Khan were approved at a cost of about 1 billion rupees. A project at a cost of 2.5 billion rupees was approved for free books and school bags in the merged districts.
A farewell meeting was organized by the officers of the department in the honor of Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, an officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, who served as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Planning and Development, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah has been appointed Senior Member Board of Revenue. The farewell meeting was attended by senior officers of the department. The officers expressed good wishes for Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah and appreciated his services for the province.
The board meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Ikramullah Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the meeting, important decisions were taken to benefit the Food Authority and the public and instructions were given in this regard. Secretary Food, DG Food Safety and Halal Food Authority and other relevant officials also participated in the meeting.
A meeting regarding the National Health Support Program (NHSP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held at the Planning and Development Department. Attendees discussed progress made so far. Secretary of the Health Department, Mr. Adeel Shah, and Chief Economist, Mr. Arifullah Awan, attended the meeting alongside relevant officials.
