Meeting on the Development of Zakhakhel in Khyber District
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has prepared a comprehensive development plan of Rs. 3.3 billion for Zakhakhel in Khyber District. A new era of economic and social development will begin in the region and employment opportunities will be created.
A meeting was held in the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shehab Ali Shah. The plan has been formulated for three years under which projects in the fields of Agriculture, Irrigation, Municipalities, Industries, Public Health Engineering, Mines and Minerals, Roads will be worked on. The area includes business rehabilitation, technical trainings, youth internships, livestock and agriculture promotion, forest protection, and water supply projects.
Rs. 55 crore for irrigation projects, Rs. 35 crore for agriculture, Rs. 20 crore for support of small and medium enterprises, Rs. 173 million for technical and vocational training, Rs. 55 crore for local bodies, Rs. 79 crore for roads. Rs. 38 crore for Public Health Engineering, Rs. 11.7 crore for Forests and Mines and Minerals.
In the light of development vision of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan, development projects are being brought on priority basis for the backward areas. The plan will be presented for approval in the Provincial Development Working Party meeting very soon.
Solarization of 8000 Schools & 187 BHUs in Province
Chief Minister Mehmood Khan plans to solarize 8000 schools and 187 basic health centers in 25 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a cost of Rs. 4.34 billion. Eco-friendly power generation will benefit more than 1 million students and protect precious lives in health centers
13th PDWP Held on 13th January 2022
Provincial Development Working Party meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shehab Ali Shah in the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which 33 projects costing a total of Rs 49 billion were approved. The meeting was attended by forum members, sections chiefs, and official staff. Notable projects approved include an integrated package for Zakhakhel Khyber District at a cost of Rs. 3312 million and it will revolutionize the fields of agriculture, irrigation and industry.
Approved projects include construction of BRICS Dam, development of regional GDP / economic indicators, construction of multi-storey commercial / residential building on 5 Kanal 11 Marla land on Warsak Road Peshawar, extension of Emergency Rescue Services 1122 to Tehsil level and Khyber. Establishment of substations in Pakhtunkhwa, provision of municipal services / civic amenities in major towns of newly merged districts, construction of solar tube wells, bus terminals in South Waziristan district, beautification in urban areas etc., fruit and vegetable market in Orakzai district. , Cattle Fair Market, Construction of Slaughterhouse, Strengthening District Development Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Municipal Services Delivery Project, Kundal Dam District Swabi Spillway Modification, Exit Channel and Irrigation System / Related Component Improvements, Barwasa Dam District Construction of Haripur, provision of small grants for students of religious madrassas of integrated areas for setting up small scale business, establishment of computer labs in religious madrassas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, provision of free textbooks in integrated districts, Kohi Soleimani Upgradation of 40.0 km road to Darazanda, Shishikoh Madqalshat Road 43 Construction of 40.0 km road from Kumrat to Kalam, setting up of processing units in DI Khan and Swat districts to harness the potential for production of vegetables, dates and fruits and income generation, with special emphasis on cold water fisheries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. With the promotion of fisheries, the transformation of agriculture in integrated areas. Sub-Scheme: Disease Control Program for Development of Livestock Sector in Integrated Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Transformation of Agriculture in Integrated Areas. Sub-Scheme: Improvement of Agricultural Extension Services in Newly Integrated Areas under Agricultural Transformation Plan, Rehabilitation and Expansion of Kailash Valley Roads in Chitral District, Grain Warehouses in Integrated Districts, Sub-Scheme: Food Warehouses in Kurram District Construction, Upgradation of BHU Darmai at RHC level in Matta Tehsil, District Swat, Establishment of BHU Sakhra Fazal Beg Ghari and BHU Aghal Britana in Matta Tehsil Swat, New 132 KV Grid Stations Sura Rogha South Construction of Waziristan, Tirah Maidan, Mamond Bajaur, Bara Khyber Kohat, amendment of Malakand III for restoration of annual design energy target and construction of 132 KV Shah Kass.
Weekly Internal Review Meeting
Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah chaired weekly, internal review meeting with all chiefs of sections and attached units of P&D. In meeting progress of different development projects, already assigned tasks and, monitoring and evaluation system were discussed. All concerned sections and attached units presented their progress works which were thoroughly discussed and were given directions accordingly.

Ambassador of Switzerland in Pakistan, Mr. Bénédict de Cerjat and Ms. Arjumand Nizami, Country Director, HELVETAS called on Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah on Tuesday.
In meeting bilateral cooperation areas pertaining socioeconomic uplift of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa particularly merged districts, model like Public-Private Partnership(PPP) and possibilities of future cooperation were discussed.

The 6th Meeting of Project Steering Committee of FATA Water Resources Development Project (FWRDP) held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahab Ali Shah in which activities under the project were reviewed.
14th PDWP Held on 27th January 2022
The 14th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party on Thursday approved 16 projects worth 100 billion rupees. Approval was given in the meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shehab Ali Shah. Notable projects include a feasibility study for the establishment of economic zones in the amalgamated districts which will be an important milestone for economic prosperity in the amalgamated districts.
The meeting was attended by relevant departments and members. The Forum approved projects in the areas of irrigation, health, rural development, higher education and industrial development for the development of the province. Among the approved projects are construction, improvement and expansion of Janki Khel, Azizi Khel and Maturizi Irrigation Channels in Swat District, construction of Surkhwai Dam Project in Mardan District, construction of Sher Dara Dam Project in Swabi District, and in District DI Khan construction of Kora Nala Dam Project.
Construction of Samari Payan Dam in Kohat District, Purchase of land for construction of Police Infrastructure in Mardan District, Establishment of Social Media Partnership Platforms for Awareness and Feedback on Remedial Measures, Establishment of Bannu, Bunair and Karak BHUs,
Construction of Expressway from Swat Expressway to Buner, GPI upgrade from GTVC in Batgram, GPI upgrade in Harpur, integrated development package for Orakzai, establishment of 17 Government Colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Funding for Land and Boundary Wall in Government Degree College Kohala Jabri Haripur District, Upgradation of Existing University Campus in Chitral District to a Complete University, and Strengthening Health System of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which Non-Teaching Work will be done on DHQ hospitals.
Meeting on E-Tendering
A meeting was convened regarding e-tendering in Planning and Development Department in which progress in e-procurement process was discussed in order to improve transparency and good governance. MD KPPRA and all concerned departments attended the meeting.
Meeting on Uplift and Beautification of Urban Centers in Province
A meeting regarding uplift and beautification of urban centers and bazars in newly merged districts convened under chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah. Concerned Deputy Commissioners presented progress work in this regard. Additional Chief Secretary, Shahab Ali Shah urged over assuring quality in monitoring of ongoing projects.
