Flood Control Room is Established in PDMA Peshawar

In light of the instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Mahmood Khan, a flood control room was established in the PDMA office in Peshawar comprising various provincial departments. This flood control room will collect and provide timely and accurate information related to the flood as per the notification issued by the provincial government.
According to the control, on the instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan, more relief materials have been sent to the flood-affected districts of Charsadda, Malakand, Peshawar, Swat, DI Khan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Tank, Kohistan Lower, and Dir Upper. Among these relief supplies, 2700 tents, 2700 meters, 1000 plastic mats, 2000 hajjen cats, 1700 jerry cans, 700 buckets, 1300 quilts, 2700 tarpaulin sheets, 1400 mosquito nets, 300 gas cylinders and other items are included. And in view of the flood situation, the weekly leave of PDMA employees has been cancelled and the district administration and related organizations are engaged in relief activities. PDMA is continuously monitoring the situation. Additional Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Shahab Ali Shah also visited the flood control room and reviewed the current flood situation and issued instructions to the relevant departments. The public can report any untoward incident to the flood control room at 1700.
