Meeting with the World Bank on Country Partnership Framework For FY2027-28

A meeting on the World Bank Group Pakistan Country Partnership Framework for FY2027-28 was held to review its strategic direction for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Islam Zaib, the Secretary EAD and the World Bank Country Director attended the meeting along with their teams. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – World Bank proposed pipeline and readiness for the decade was reviewed, with special focus on FY2027-28 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Additional Chief Secretary noted that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is undertaking baseline assessments to quantify expected outcomes and impacts, and added that a digital dashboard is being prepared in IDS, P&DD for tracking and monitoring FFPs.
The framework will support six key country outcomes to guide provincial priorities and resource alignment, focusing on reducing child stunting, reducing learning poverty, increasing resilience to climate change, ensuring cleaner energy and better air quality, mobilizing more public resources for inclusive development, and increasing productive private investment.
