The PDWP Meeting Approved 8 Projects Worth More Than Rs 26 Billion

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to the uniform development of the province; the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is implementing public interest projects under the Sustainable Development Plan.
On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the Provincial Development Working Party meeting approved further improvement of the impact of 8 projects worth more than Rs 26 billion.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islam Zeb, on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by forum members and concerned officers.
The meeting approved the plan to strengthen the mobility, weapons and modern response system of the Counter-Terrorism Department, the establishment of a regional office of the Counter-Terrorism Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar and the setup at the district level.
The plan to provide additional educational infrastructure and required facilities in the existing government colleges of the merged districts on the basis of need was also approved in the Provincial Development Working Party meeting. The approval of the project will help in improving educational facilities in the merged districts.
The first phase of the extension of the Monitoring and Evaluation System in the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the construction of the Pilai Kandal and Sanam Dams, and the construction of the Chashma Akhora Khel Dam project in Karak district were also approved.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa City Improvement Project Phase II was also approved in the meeting.
