Establishing the âSocial Protection and Gender Mainstreaming (SP&GM)â section is an epoch milestone by the Planning and Development (P&D) Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) towards gender equality. It echoes an affirmative commitment to utilize and strengthen the social protection systems not only in the province but to contribute and promote national obligations on women empowerment and gender-just society. SP&GM section aims to serve as a pillar of support to the counterparts and other governmental stakeholders to mainstream the gender perspective in the planning, development and implementation of all existing policies, programs and interventions in the area as well as in the future course of actions
