The 23rd meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party approved projects worth over Rs 18 billion.
Approval was given in a meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Shehab Ali Shah.
On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Mahmood Khan, several projects such as setting up of Rescue 1122 service in various districts of the province, construction of playgrounds up to Union Council level and construction of schools and roads in the newly merged districts were approved.
The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and relevant departments. The forum approved 15 projects related to C&W, education, relief and sports and tourism for the betterment of the province.
Approved projects include working on rainwater harvesting in integrated districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Physical Feasibility Study for Master Planning and Designing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy at Regi Model Town Peshawar, Inspectorate General of Prisons, Central Jails of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Feasibility Study and Construction of Admin Blocks and Barracks for Watch and Ward Staff, Special Initiative Program for Mardan District, Establishment of Two Model Schools in South Waziristan Tiarza and Sardar Khan Kot, IT in High and Higher Secondary Schools in Integrated Areas Establishment of labs, construction of playgrounds at Union Council level in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the establishment of Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) in Bannu District and Lower Kohistan to further improve the impact of projects and feasibility for the construction of District Jail Dir Upper.
