The Steering Committee Meeting of the Multi-Sectoral Coordination Mechanism (MSCM) for the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Islam Zaib, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary was given a detailed briefing on the 2025 Progress Report and the proposed Task Force Action Plans for 2026.
Appreciating the efforts of the team, the Additional Chief Secretary commended the progress made so far and formally approved the action plans for implementation in 2026. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts across all relevant departments to effectively address GBV in the province.
Chief Economist Mr. Shahzad Mehboob, key officials from the Planning and Development Department, and other relevant stakeholders also attended the meeting.
