Federal Ministry of Planning and Development team visited P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The team was given a special briefing on the monitoring and evolution system and e-procurement system of the provincial government. KP Government Started Preparation for Dubai Expo

There are vast investment opportunities in Pakistan and the government is committed to provide opportunities to investors. In this regard, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has started preparations for the expo to be held in Dubai. Yesterday, a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan had worked out a plan of action for the preparation of the expo in the light of which the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken steps. Expo to be held in January – 192 countries including Pakistan are participating in the expo. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will prepare its recommendations regarding the expo and send them to the federal government. Broader investment opportunities in Pakistan will be highlighted globally. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government will present various investment-critical projects at the Dubai Expo, which are being finalized. In the light of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan’s vision, projects related to tourism, energy, industry, infrastructure and IT will be presented to attract international investors. Traditional Pakistani products will also be on display at the expo. In the meeting chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary KP Shahab Ali Shah in the P&D department, instructions were issued to the concerned departments on the preparations for the Dubai Expo. The meeting was held online due to Corona SOPs.

KP Government Approved Various Development Projects

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government continues journey from promises to fulfillment: Approval of development projects in the light of Chief Minister Mehmood Khan’s instructions. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan directed to complete the northern part of Peshawar Ring Road as soon as possible. On the direction of the Chief Minister, the Provincial Development Working Party meeting approved the unfinished section of the northern part of Ring Road. The northern part of Ring Road consists of 8.70 km from Warsak Road to Nasir Bagh Road. The ring road from Warsak Road to Nasir Bagh will consist of 6 lanes and will be equipped with a service road. The total cost of the project is Rs. 16 billion which will be sent for CDWP approval. Billions of rupees have been saved.
Completion of the project will reduce traffic congestion in Peshawar city – the project includes construction of three bridges, two underpasses, flyover at Warsak Road Ring Road, flyover at Regi Plosai Road The meeting approved 20 projects worth Rs 29 billion. Other notable projects include setting up of 10 police stations, 3 check posts at a cost of Rs 1.35 billion in Malakand Division, Rs 1.3 billion in Harpur for the promotion of information technology in the province. Digital City to be set up at the cost of Rs. Flow will help
Road approval from Katling Bazaar to Mardan at a cost of Rs 3.3 billion which will benefit 4 lakh population
The approved project of 16 km Kohat Road from Warsak Left Canal to Shamshuto Bilateral Road will also cost Rs 2 billion.
Under Skill Development Program at a cost of Rs. 1.4 billion in integrated districts, 5500 persons would be given Skill Development Program in Tourism, Technical, IT, Business.

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan directed to complete the northern part of Peshawar Ring Road as soon as possible to solve the traffic problems of Peshawar city.

Accelerated Skills Development program for the people of merged areas approved at a cost of PKR 1.4 Billion. Training will be imparted to 5500 individuals in the field of Tourism, IT, Businesses, Technical skills to enhance their capacity.

Kulader flyover in Charsadda to ease traffic congestion, approved by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan the incumbent government has devised a uniform development strategy for all districts of the province.
