Meeting on Cadet College Spinkai South Waziristan

A meeting was held in Planning and Development Department KP regarding Cadet Collage Spinkai South Waziristan. It was chaired by ACS P&D KP Shakeel Qadir Khan. The meeting discussed the provision of funds for the academic block and civil works. The cost of civil works, construction work and other expenses of the Cadet College is Rs. 665.2 million. Funds will be provided to Cadet College in phases. Steps are being taken to provide education facilities to children and youth in Waziristan. Cadet College Spinkai currently has 300 cadets.  The college will accommodate 500 students after completion of civil works.

17th PDWP Held on 25th February 2021

The 17th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) was held today i.e., 25th February, 2021 under the Chairmanship of Shakeel Qadir Khan the Additional Chief Secretary, P&D Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through video link. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and concerned government Departments. A total of 33 schemes were presented to the forum, which pertained to various Sectors such as Home, Health, Water, Urban Development, DWSS, Sports/Tourism, E&SE, Higher Education, Roads and Multi Sectoral Development for the uplift of the Province. Out of the said, the forum approved 29 schemes with an estimated cost of Rs. 28616.396 million. On the other hand 04 schemes were deferred due to inadequate design and were returned to the respective Departments for rectification.

Development Statistics of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2020

Bureau of Statistics Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been annually releasing Development Statistics since 1980. The publication is based upon secondary data and contains latest and comprehensive statistics on a wide array of subjects with district-wise breakdown. After promulgation of 25 th Amendment, the sector wise data of merged districts have also been reflected in this publication. Statistical Abstracts highlighting comparative picture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Pakistan have been given in the outset of the publication, while glossary of the terms used in the report has been provided at the end. In some cases national level data with provincial breakdown have also been incorporated to enable data users to make comparative analysis of national, provincial
and district level data.
Bureau of Statistics is extremely thankful to the Provincial Line Departments, District Governments and other data generating organizations for their cooperation in supplying requisite data for this publication. There is a growing interest among policymakers and development planners to take decisions and make viable choices amid competing priorities based upon a broad suit of relevant and credible statistical data on varied dimensions of social and economic development. Social and economic indicators in general form an important part of the information required to determine how well a region/country is progressing on economic and social trajectory, identify regional and gender disparities and support the process of planning, monitoring and research.
