The 8th meeting of the Project Steering Committee of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Irrigated Agriculture Improvement Project was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Islam Zaib, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Additional Chief Secretary was briefed on the physical and financial progress of the project. Following detailed deliberations, the Annual Work Plan for 2026-27 was approved.
Mr. Islam Zaib emphasized the need for timely implementation of activities to achieve project targets and ensure maximum benefits for farmers in the project area.
The project has achieved several key milestones, including the installation of the High-Efficiency Irrigation System (HEIS) package, the construction of water storage tanks, and the provision of laser land leveling units.
