PDWP Meeting Approved 16 Development Projects Worth Over Rs 25 Billion

As the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is committed to the uniform development of the province, the PDWP meeting approved 16 development projects worth over Rs 25 billion
On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, the fourth meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party of the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held.
On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, important road projects have been approved in different districts of the province. The completion of these projects will not only significantly reduce the travel time but also improve the flow of traffic. In addition, these projects will promote connectivity between different areas, facilitate trade and transportation, and overall play an important role in improving the quality of life of the people.
The meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islam Zeb.
The meeting was attended by PDWP members and officers of the relevant departments. The forum approved 16 important projects related to roads, primary, secondary and higher education, forests, social welfare and the Board of Revenue for the development of the province.
The meeting approved the improvement and widening of 13 km blacktop road from Gatkai to Letai in Bajaur district, construction and feasibility study of 43 km road from N-55 to Torkham Road in the merged districts, construction and blacktop of a new road from Sirkai to Shinkamar via Chargi, Dagri, Kamar Khel Adda, improvement of 35 km road from Tindal Baghora to Wali Masjid, improvement, widening and construction of road from Tindal Baghora to Wali Masjid via Tangi, Sadki Kamma, Kachkalul Kali Division Bara, construction of 10 km road from Kacha Bachak Mirakhel to Shigi Machan Khel in Bannu district, and rehabilitation and construction of Bakht Bulanda, Attock, Nagarai Payin, Pangral Shati Chinar, Kano Gambat and Zawal Baba Hajiabad routes. In the MSD sector, projects such as Survey, Detail Design and Feasibility Study for Tribal Institute of Applied and Modern Sciences Jamrud in Khyber District, Water Supply and Sanitation Projects in Khyber Jamrud District, Karam Sadda Sateen District and Khyber Bara District under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rural Investment and Institutional Support Project, Assessment, Feasibility Study and Restoration of Endangered Stone Tree Species in the Forest Department, Gomal Zam Dam Command Area Development and On-Farm Water Management Project with USAID support related to Agriculture, Establishment of Darul Aman in Chitral and Bannu Districts under Social Welfare and Computerization of Land Records Phase II in the remaining districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under Board of Revenue, University of Engineering and Applied Sciences Swat for higher education, Establishment of Chief Minister Model Schools (Phase I) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for primary and secondary education were also approved.
