A review meeting regarding transparency and accountability measures in the Planning and Development Department was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Mr. Adeel Shah in light of special instructions of the provincial government.
The meeting discussed the establishment of a complaint cell and front desk, merit-based redressal of public complaints, and merit-based transfers.
It was decided that the relevant sections should immediately follow up on the pending information from the attached formation and a weekly review of the compliance status would be conducted, in which evidence-based reporting would be given priority. The Secretary said that the aim of this exercise is to improve transparency, institutional accountability and timely provision of services to the citizens, and directed that the implementation of the transparency and accountability agenda should be given top priority.
