The meeting of Project Steering Committee for the National Health Support Program (NHSP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP) – Health Component was held at the Planning & Development Department, today. The meeting was chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, Planning & Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Islam Zaib.
Officials from the Health Department, Sections of P&D, and representatives of the respective project management units attended the meeting. The project teams presented detailed briefings on the physical and financial progress achieved so far under both initiatives, highlighting key milestones, ongoing activities, and challenges.
The Additional Chief Secretary directed the project teams to ensure that all activities are completed strictly in accordance with the approved work plans and stipulated timelines. He emphasized the importance of timely execution to achieve the intended health outcomes for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Additional Chief Secretary further instructed all concerned departments and P&D representatives to extend full facilitation and inter-departmental coordination to address bottlenecks and conclude the remaining activities at the earliest. He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening health service delivery and improving human capital outcomes across the province.
