The 19th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party approved projects worth Rs. 177 billion. Approval was given in a meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary P&D Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Shahab Ali Shah.
The projects include the supply of clean drinking water to the Khyber Sur Kamar and Landi Kotal districts, which will solve the long-standing problem of the area. Remember that work will be done on the ancient infrastructure for the completion of the project.
The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and relevant departments. The forum approved 41 projects related to agriculture, rural development, C&W, endowment, food, health and irrigation for the development of the province.
Approved projects include rehabilitation and improvement of canals and other irrigation infrastructure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, construction of flood protection works in Dera Ismail Khan and improvement of a water channel in Buner Shalbandai, provision of land for Dir Motorway and Visibility Gap Funding for construction of Peshawar DI Khan Motorway, Solar System Project under District Development Plan for Bannu Division and Construction and Rehabilitation of Mirakhel to Ismail Khani Road, the establishment of Emergency Rescue Service Rescue 1122 in Buner District related to relief, award of scholarships to former FATA students at Ghulam Ishaq Institute Topi Swabi in the field of industries, the establishment of two best centres in the field of Renewable Energy at Government College of Technology in Peshawar and Swat. the construction of food warehouses in Mohmand district in terms of food, Provision of Research Studies, Consultancy, Survey, Detailed Design Feasibility Studies for Greater Peshawar Region Mass Transit Circular Rail Project, Improvement of Facilities and Infrastructure in Existing Judicial Complex of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Girls Section at Bannu Model School & College Establishment of other necessary infrastructure, Development programs for environmental impact mitigation programs in sports and tourism, Integrated Development Package for Tehsil Sub Division Wazir Jani Khel, Improvement of mosques and madrassas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Reconstruction and rehabilitation, construction of existing road from Bannu to Miranshah in the road sector, construction of Jani Khel Old Mandi to Poya Jani Khel road and other projects are included.

Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, Department, Mr Shahab Ali Shah, chaired the 6th steering committee meeting for SEED Pakistan. During the meeting, program updates were shared, and key decisions were made. The SEED programme aims to improve provincial economic planning and increase the efficiency of public investments.
A farewell meeting was held in honour of Additional Secretary Mr Shahid Mahmood at Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mr Shehab Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chaired the meeting. The Department of Planning and Development is working on preparations and planning for the annual development program for the year 2023-2022 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the uniform development of the entire province on the special instructions of the provincial government, which will be finalized soon. A meeting with team of Merged Areas Governance Project UNDP held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Shahab Ali Shah regarding Qabail Led Development(QLD), District Packages “Da Khushaale Lara Program” and new interventions such as Solutions Lab . Team briefed Additional Chief Secretary about progress of different initiatives under the project for the socio-economic uplift of people of newly merged districts.
Monitoring and Evaluation team of Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa DI Khan Division visited Government Girls Primary School Almar Gul Koroona New Abadi District Tank and a solar based Drinking Water Supply Scheme at Rehmat Abad Tehsil Sararogha. As per directions of provincial government Monitoring Teams of Planning and Development Department are visiting ongoing schemes across the province in order to assure quality work, and check physical and financial progress.
At the twentieth meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party, plans worth Rs 36 billion were approved. Approval was given in the meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Shahab Ali Shah. Â On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Mahmood Khan, the projects include setting up of 500 Kanal Center of Excellence for Orphans in Bannu District and construction of 61 km Bannu to Miranshah District North Waziristan Road. The government will provide housing, food and education to the orphans.

Feasibility Study and Design of Construction of Kanjubori, Kakar Shang and Banda Akhon Zadgan Shri Khwar Alai RCC Bridge, Batgram Paimal Road Repair Batgram District, Construction of several Serena Roads from Shahur to Turmandi and Ghanda in South Waziristan District, Mali Khel Improvement and Rehabilitation Kharlachi Road, Road construction and rehabilitation in Mehsud area, To make Uzair Bhatti Chowk to Jawad Chowk road in Mardan district two way and feasibility study and design, construction, improvement and maintenance of bridges under AIP, Construction, improvement and rehabilitation of roads and bridges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provision of facilities for existing grounds in Swat District, Establishment of Transport Inspection Stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Includes establishment of tax facilitation centres and excise offices in 6 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Kohat Development Project and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority was signed on Wednesday in the SDU unit of the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the special participation of DG SDU Sohail Khan. The main objective is to work on the potential of the youth in the three districts of Karak, Kohat and Hangu and to prepare them for employment as per the need of the hour. Under the agreement, thousands of youths, including women, will be prepared for employment in various fields and the two sides also agreed on the modalities of the project. The MoU was signed by Malik Mohammad Ayaz from Kohat Development Project and Engineer Sajjad Ali Shah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority.
At the 21st meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party, projects worth Rs. 5 billion were approved. Approval was given in the meeting of PDWP chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr Shahab Ali Shah. On the special instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Mahmood Khan, schemes were approved to upgrade several hospitals in the health sector throughout the province. The meeting was attended by members of PDWP and relevant departments. The forum approved 12 projects related to C&W, health, education and social welfare for the betterment of the province.
Approved projects include upgrading Buner Tutalai RHC Hospital to Category D, the BHU of Peshawar Chamkani to Category D, and Mardan Katlang Hospital from Category D to C in the health sector and the reconstruction of Liaquat Memorial Teaching Hospital for Women and Child in Kohat. Upgradation of Mansehra District Ogi RHC to Category D and District Abbottabad Sharwan Civil Hospital to Category D and Construction of District Abbottabad Qalandarabad Bypass in the road sector, Upgradation of existing IT system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. And the installation of an optical fiber network, the establishment of a Bolo Helpline Center in Peshawar and the purchase of furniture and equipment for a schools to be built under the FIP.
