PSC Meeting on Stunting Reduction

The first meeting of the Project Steering Committee for Stunting Reduction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Ikramullah Khan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning and Development Department. The meeting deliberated on the strategic direction, institutional mechanisms, and resource mobilization required to design and operationalize a stunting reduction roadmap in collaboration with relevant departments and development partners. The meeting was attended by the Secretary Health, officials from the Planning and Development Department, and representatives from relevant departments.
The Additional Chief Secretary highlighted the need for developing a roadmap for project design and emphasised the strong coordination among stakeholders.

First Technical Group Meeting on Integrated Climate Risk Management Held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The First Technical Group Meeting of Project titled “Integrated Climate Risk Management for Strengthened Resilience to Climate Change in Buner and Shangla Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan” was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Adeel Shah, Secretary Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The meeting was attended by a delegation of the World Food Programme led by Ms. Lindita Bare, Deputy Country Director, along with officials from relevant government departments, district administration, and the Planning and Development Department.
Secretary Planning and Development Department, Mr. Adeel Shah, emphasized the importance of the meeting, noting that it coincides with a critical time for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He stressed need to chalk out a course of action in view of the current climate challenges. Highlighting the significance of flood early warning systems, he pointed out that there is room for improvement in the existing system.
The meeting aimed to strengthen resilience to climate change in Buner and Shangla districts through integrated climate risk management. The discussions focused on collaborative efforts to enhance climate resilience.

CM KP Launced Digital Disaster Managment Application For Flood-Affected Areas

 An important step of the provincial government is to provide convenience to flood victims. Launch of a special app for online payment of compensation for damages to the victims. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur officially launched the digital payment system. The app, called “Digital Disaster Compensation Management”, has been developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board. This system has been linked to the provincial government’s central service delivery app Dastak.
Through the app, compensation for damaged properties will be paid directly and online to the flood victims. Through this online system, the victims will be able to claim compensation by uploading the details of their property damage themselves. This app consists of a completely transparent and automated mechanism, which will make it possible to provide compensation to the victims in a timely and transparent manner. Briefing
Due to the facility of geo-tagging, the provision of wrong information or a claim will not be possible.
