CM KP Chaired Meeting Over Priority Develoment Projects

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a meeting on priority development projects. Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development and Administrative Secretaries of the concerned departments participated in the meeting.
• The meeting identified important public service delivery projects to be completed during the current financial year. These priority projects include projects in health, education, drinking water, communication, irrigation, relief and other sectors.
• The provincial cabinet has allocated an additional Rs 20 billion for the early completion of these priority and nearing completion projects. The purpose of allocating additional funds for these development projects is to complete them quickly and make them operational. These are urgent projects for the provision of public services. Their timely completion is a top priority so that service delivery to the people can start without delay. Ali Amin Gandapur
• The additional funding that has been provided to projects nearing completion in the last 3 months of last year has yielded significant results. From the beginning of this year, funds will be released under this formula so that projects nearing completion can be completed this year itself. Meeting on Peshawer Uplift Task Force

Peshawar Uplift Task Force Meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
A meeting of the Task Force formed by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur for the development and improvement of Peshawar district was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah.
The meeting was attended by Member National Assembly Asif Khan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Muhammad Asim Khan, Secretary Planning and Development, Commissioner Peshawar Division, PDA, WSSP heads, and other relevant officials.
The Task Force will coordinate the development initiatives of various departments in Peshawar, including the improvement efforts of the authorities, building control and monitoring the implementation of the Peshawar Master Plan. In addition, suggestions for Peshawar traffic management and other issues were also considered in the meeting. The DG PDA gave a briefing on the beautification of the city, ongoing development projects and capacity building of the institution.
It was decided in the meeting that the beautification and cleanliness of Peshawar will be improved on priority basis and the efforts of all the relevant departments will be coordinated for this purpose.
The DG PDA informed that after a comprehensive survey, packages have been prepared for the overall beautification of the city, which will be implemented soon.
The forum directed that all drainage channels be cleaned through a campaign coordinated with WSSP so that urban flooding can be prevented during the rains.
In the meeting, it was decided to give top priority to the completion of the ring road and other linkages to solve urban traffic problems so that traffic pressure is reduced and citizens can get better travel facilities.
In the meeting, it was decided to formally notify all service delivery measures of the PDA and establish an effective call-back mechanism so that public complaints can be monitored satisfactorily.
The DG PDA informed that all payments of the authority will be shifted to a cashless system by December, while internal affairs will be made paperless by September 30.
The meeting suggested that water and sanitation services be outsourced to promote better competition and efficiency, while the establishment of an enforcement directorate was also considered.
The forum suggested introducing regular open courts and an AI-based complaint registration system to enhance citizen engagement, so as to restore public confidence and increase convenience.
The Chief Secretary urged all stakeholders to collectively fulfill their responsibilities to make Peshawar a modern, safe and better liveable city and ensure timely reporting and progress.

Meeting With SAFRON

A meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Ameer Muqam, Minister for State & Frontier Regions (SAFRON) at his ministry, Islamabad, wherein ministers of different portfolios, elders of Erstwhile FATA, and social activists participated in the meeting. Director General, Sustainable Development Unit, P&D Department, Mr. Khalid Zaman, joined the meeting virtually. In a meeting, a detailed deliberation was made towards a roadmap for inclusive, accountable, and constitutionally aligned dispute resolution in newly merged districts. The forum was also acquainted with the initiation of the Accelerated Implementation Program (AIP) introduced in 2019, with the aim to foster the livelihood of vulnerable people of FATA in terms of revitalization of infrastructure, health sector, education, and sustainable development. The Chair also put forward suggestions to nourish AIP, and prioritize those schemes guaranteed to bring people betterment, sustainable growth, and live enhancement.

3rd PDWP Meeting Held From 1st To 3rd September 2025

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government committed to the uniform development of the province, 44 development projects worth over Rs 75 billion approved in PDWP meeting
On the special instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, a very important water supply and sanitation scheme was approved for Bannu district at a cost of Rs 1 billion. The project will ensure water supply to about 84,322 residents. Moreover, about 6,000 people will get access to improved sanitation services, which will significantly increase public health and hygiene. The project will meet a critical need of the district and reflects the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life of the citizens.
The third meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ikramullah Khan.
The meeting was attended by PDWP members and officers of the concerned departments. The forum approved 44 important projects related to health, relief and rehabilitation, transport, education, interior, sports, livestock and irrigation for the development of the province.

The World Bank Portfolio Review’s Meeting

The World Bank Portfolio Review’s meeting was held at the Planning and Development Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today, under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Mr.Ikramullah Khan. Furthermore, the Additional Chief Secretary assured that his office, along with all relevant Secretaries, would extend full facilitation and support to the World Bank, ensuring seamless execution of projects and fostering a productive partnership.
